You believe that a government led by religious authorities will create a morally righteous and spiritually guided society.
Theocracy is a form of government in which a deity is recognized as the supreme civil ruler. In this political ideology, the deity's laws are interpreted by ecclesiastical authorities, typically a group of religious leaders. The term "theocracy" originates from the Greek words "theos," meaning god, and "kratos," meaning power or rule. Thus, theocracy essentially translates to "rule by god" or "divine power."
The concept of theocracy has been present throughout human history, often intertwined with the development of major world…

What challenges could arise in practicing artistic freedom in a society governed by religious tenets?
@9JNZB9H4mos4MO
People with opposing opinions may not understand it but that is the beauty of art. The artist should not care what others think as long as they like it themselves.
@9JNY3QL4mos4MO
if someone with different beliefs makes a piece of art like a painting that other religious leaders don’t agree with it could cause problems
@9JNY33P4mos4MO
If you're doing something that's opposed to the religion, then you are likely to be punished.
@9JNXKQ24mos4MO
There could be people who are not religious' that could cause issues within the society.
@ISIDEWITH3mos3MO
How would you argue for the importance of scientific research in a society where religious texts are the ultimate authority?
@9KBPQM9Republican3mos3MO
I think that Christianity is the most proven religion but people shouldn't be forced to believe in something.
@9KBQFVJWomen’s Equality3mos3MO
I don't feel like it is that important because we are a country that is made up multiple beliefs, I don't think that their should be any emphasis on any religion in particular.
@9KBQ6BF3mos3MO
While our government referenced biblical text in formational text, our constitution was created with the possibility of amendment due to foreseen changes in the way the world works. Current science should be referenced, as the world around us changes, to implement policies that reflect current situations. Our country is no longer a strictly Christian country, and our laws and policies are meant to protect and represent all citizens of the United States, not just the Christian citizens.
@9KBQ3KQ3mos3MO
I feel most people despite your religion should be able to have health care and should be treated with the respects of their religion, however the human body is the same for everyone despite religion. therefore everyone should be treated the same.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
What impact might religious governance have on the hobbies and leisure activities available to you?
@9L93Y25Republican2mos2MO
I think that it would just help fix all of the inhuman actions that everyone is a part of
@9L93JHQ2mos2MO
I do not know, but I hope to gain a better understanding of how it may impact me.
@9L943LT2mos2MO
More restrictions and requirements going against current rights
@9L93PMV2mos2MO
Because of the majority being christians, I already can barely exercise my own religion without judgement or simply being told it doesnt exist. theocracy is a violation to religious freedom and our rights.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
How would the observance of religious practices you don't share shape your sense of identity and community?
@9LGN74W1mo1MO
I think it is important to learn and understand other people's opinions and then being able to see where everyone is coming from.
@9LGKWWG1mo1MO
just choose not to share the reloigoous practices at all
@9LGKTHKWomen’s Equality1mo1MO
I don't know enough about this to have an opinion on it.
@9LGKJ5Z1mo1MO
I don't really care what religious practices people around me have, and i'm indifferent to what surrounds me with religion.
@ISIDEWITH2mos2MO
Imagine all businesses had to close on a day of religious observance you don't practice; how would you use that day each week?
@9KY5ZRT2mos2MO
If it was their own religion I would understand and take a nap
@9KY68NW2mos2MO
I would still use it to rest, but I find it ridiculous that it is connected to some kind of god centric mythology. We can have days to rest without needing it to be religiously oriented.
@9KY5XXTWomen’s Equality2mos2MO
taking time to myself and doing what makes myself happy
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
When faith influences the law, what happens to those who follow a different faith or no faith at all?
@9HZWQ6D4mos4MO
they are treated with unfairness because of what they believe in and this causes roadblocks in their life.
@9HZWYZD4mos4MO
They are persecuted and discriminated against. It's important for the government to be secular so nobody is treated as unequal.
@9HZX3S24mos4MO
I think that even if people follow a different faith they can still be respected within the country.
@ISIDEWITH4mos4MO
How important do you think it is to have religious diversity in government decision-making?
@9JFLB9C4mos4MO
Religious diversity helps make better rules for everyone
@9JFL3T54mos4MO
i beleve it is a good thing so we hve laws to help the people better
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
What are the possible benefits and drawbacks of having spiritual leaders make our laws?
@9HGQ9QQ6mos6MO
If the place is one religion, then that person will get it. But if there is lot of religion. The officials may do something that benefits their religion and not others
Again, we have separation of church and state for a reason.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
If religious figures were also your political leaders, how do you think accountability should be handled when they make mistakes?
I think accountability should be handled the same as it would with normal political leaders. Even though they are religious, they still should be held to the same standards as normal politicians would.
@9HTLJ5M5mos5MO
They should be accounted just like the president we have now, no differently.
@9HTLHFP5mos5MO
I think they should be treated like anyone else. No one is above the law.
@ISIDEWITH5mos5MO
How can a youth's aspirations be shaped or limited in a society where religion determines their life's path?
@ISIDEWITH6mos6MO
How might daily life change if decisions from education to healthcare were based on a single religious perspective?
@9HLGRKH5mos5MO
Nearly would change if it were based on Christian beliefs. The USA is no longer a Christian based country, and has fallen away from that severely. If those beliefs fueled the decision that were made, many things would be different.
@9CJ6CB64mos4MO
Possibly to the negative. Theocracy is the destruction of separation of church and state, which would corrupt both so much worse than it’s supposed to. It’s like fascism: the combining of state and corporations. State, corporations, and religion must never go together, or they will enable corruption in one another.
