Can you justify a situation where American lives are risked for a war that the US is not directly involved in?

No, This war is not only wasting are money and American lives but also putting us in danger for a World War.

Isolationists believed that World War II was ultimately a dispute between foreign nations and that the United States had no good reason to get involved.

I feel like one of the only ways the US can be harmed or at risk is if World War III happens. Other from that I don't know why we would be at risk when other countries are in conflict.
