I think the consequences of what will happened to a confrontation is what makes the differences on what to choose

In my opinion, approaching with a peaceful method stems from the want to resolve an issue fairly.

I think people are encouraged by many factors to choose peaceful methods over confrontational ones. This can be influenced by how someone grew up, their community, reflection of confrontational methods, and the person that they are.
