I think that in learning about other cultures and their histories, the attainment and maintenance of technological superiority determines which cultures have the right to exist, regardless of how moral or immoral they are.
Learning about other cultures has showed me how all of our struggles as people as inherently connected, whether we're perpetuators of that struggle or we have similar struggles. We are all people, we all have inherent rights that should be protected, everyone should be equal, and we all need to fight for each other. No one is fully free until everyone is.
